it's hard to explain this but my true colors verse kuroba kaito and my modern au cifera orexis are the exact same flavor of lying self-loathing unstable disaster who would rather implode their own relationships than be emotionally honest and i just wanna //throws in a jar and vigorously shakes//

tho it's not just them; cas & poly & hyacine are also all getting some pretty big significant scenes in this chap so that's a factor.

perhaps i should have realized that the moment that cipher and agy actually showed up in a chapter i would be incapable of keeping the scene short

getting the sinking feeling that ch4 might be a lot longer than 4-6k. starting to think i might be lucky if it winds up under 8k. we'll just have to fucking see i guess.

needing to tell myself to calm the fuck down holy shit. i can make them have sex in an extra bonus chapter or smth but this aint the place for it.

detective conan is by no means perfect but i do think it features some of the best foreshadowing i've ever seen. clues for major twists are consistently dropped hundreds of chapters before the actual reveals and it's entirely possible for a keen-eyed reader to put it together years in advance.

i like phai/dei well enough tbh but it's really just not been high on my radar so i'm learning a lot about both of them in the course of this review. especially since i admittedly was zoning out playing much of 3.0-3.2 story. it wasn't until 3.3 that amphoreus really grabbed me by the throat.

also hephaestion is the gayest fucking twink who probably had a fling-slash-kinda-relationship with mydei in high school. the fling thing didn't really last but they never stopped being best friends.

thinking a lot about the library thing for phai/dei but for the time being im gonna set all that to one side. hopefully get back to it in a future chapter. mydei having fun with his kremnos bros in a league lobby or smth takes priority.
