We can't build superintelligence just for superintelligence's sake. It's got to be for humanity's sake, for a future we actually want to live in. It's not going to be a better world if we lose control of it.

It shouldn't be controversial to say AI should always remain in human control - that we humans should remain at the top of the food chain. That means we need to start getting serious about guardrails, now, before superintelligence is too advanced for us to impose them.

Good AI models admit when they don't know. Great models ask for help figuring it out. The ability to say "I got this far but need xyz to finish" or "I'm stuck at xyz" isn't just better than a refusal (or bad answer), it's the best way to earn user trust.

Lots of fear out there about AI getting out of control as models get bigger. I think it's actually the opposite. The bigger LLMs get, the easier they are to control. Just a few gens ago, they were much harder to steer, stylize, mold. Scale doesn't hurt control - it helps.
