I wanted to like Send Help more. I love me some Rachel and she’s terrific. The premise was so contrived and much of the behavior so cartoonish that I just couldn’t get into it as a thriller or any kind of meaningful satire. It’s really well done, but I couldn’t connect with it like I wanted to.

Watched on Amazon. Even 35 years ago I doubt anyone knew what to make of this undernourished melodrama / feel good sitcom hybrid. So lame and cringe it’s hard to resist. Passed the sell-by date for a Liza screen vehicle, but she’s wonderful and captivating as she exhausts all three threats.
