I would also like to say I think the fact that my stuff isn’t “anime” enough (broad but important term) has possibly been a reason I haven’t gotten a job or two. Slightly confounding but at the same time I will take what I can to heart and work on my portfolio, and try and improve where I can.

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

10 years ago I could get a banh mi for $3.50 ($2 if no meat) and now I’m looking at $17 banh mi, everything sucks, man.

This looks so charming I can’t wait to check it out. An aside, I think it’s visually striking partially BECAUSE it’s in black & white. A show choosing to go almost 100% without color is intriguing, and they get to claim that as part of their visual identity. To me, that’s kind of like the Simpsons.

My hot take about the “students cannot read whole novels / watch whole films / etc.” is that they can learn to do it. None of us are born with attention spans suited for long media. It is a learned skill and can be developed with practice.
