It's been 10 days since Trump let SNAP funding expire. He could feed our kids, seniors, and veterans today — instead, he's begging SCOTUS to let him keep starving Americans. Food should never be used as a weapon. Hungry kids are not political leverage. Fund SNAP now.

In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work." The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting. And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

This deal to reopen the government is fucking disgraceful. Tens of millions will lose their healthcare. Trump will be emboldened. This is exactly what’s wrong with Democratic Party leadership and why we need more people in Congress who will actually hold the line.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person. The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person. People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives. And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Tonight’s Senate vote on the federal government shutdown should have been a time for strength. Instead we saw capitulation and a betrayal of working Americans. The American people need more from their leaders.

A man rushed to the Broadview ICE facility searching for his wife. They followed every legal step, but ICE took her into another room and she vanished. He tracked her phone there when the signal died. Police told him to “look up her name online.” He sat in the parking lot, weeping, with no answers.

Food banks stepping up during this Republican attack on Americans is why we Americans can hold our heads up, oligarchs do share our values.. I think a lot about how Americans relied on SNAP to buy fresh groceries at supermarkets but now rely on what food banks can offer.

Watching lots of the original Mary Tyler Moore and she really set the standard for single people entertaining couples. Also, didn’t realize her apartment was a studio with a sleeper sofa.

Watched Showtime's COMMON GROUND (2000). The era of 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' left this film feeling neutered. The few scenes where lesbians kissed were greatly appreciated but far and few between. I suppose the purpose its three short stories was to present The Homosexual as "just like us" #TVmovie

$125 increase per person. That’s the reality that Kathleen in Kent is facing.     Republicans are trying to strip your health care by jacking up monthly costs. They must come back to work and deliver for families like Kathleens. I will continue to stand up for you and your health insurance.

Just watched A BAG OF HAMMERS (2011) and the ending made me cry, then terrified me, then cry again. Jake Sandvig and Chandler Canterbury were absolutely wonderful. All the montages of clips were also wonderful!

Watched FLOATING (1997). The film gave LOST BOYS with its great soundtrack and hunky guys. Chad Lowe and Norman Reedus were great and the title really set a tone for the film. idk why it had such a limited release or why it’s unrated. Great 90s film.

Queer short films are brilliant. THROUGH THE FIELDS (2015) showed the trust between siblings, how an older brother can have the pains and fears like a parent. Theo, the younger brother, saw a safe path forward but his older brother who doesn't want him coming out blocks it, failing him.
