JoJo definitely not feeling himself. He was curled up next to me for a while and when I sat up he then curled up in my lap...he has NEVER curled up in my lap before and the closest he lies on the bed is near my feet/legs 🤬💜😘

Some utter twatweasel soaked JoJo with turpentine! 🤬 He ran away before we could get him to rinse him off and dry him, but hopefully he will be back soon for food.

Have got Ash into the house and in my room, and the hole covered, with an hour until his vet appointment. Next comes the dreaded getting into the carrier. Am thinking cover in a towel and heave the struggling mess inside, with a quick zip up whilst he wrestles with the towel 🤔 Wish me luck!

Completely lost track of time this week. Just thought about picking up my prescriptions tomorrow, then realised that today's pill box was for Saturday and the chemist is closed tomorrow 🙄 Am out of some from Monday, but if I go first thing I'll be good 🤞 At least they are approved, so that's good.

Finally sold something I had had hanging around on Vinted for a while yesterday (& at the current full price). I've had worse starts to a year 🤔😁

So CEX charge £2.95 delivery for each individual item ordered? Really? That is a supremely shitty business model! I understand charging more for more items but when delivery costs are more than the items it's just not worth it. I would rather pay the same amount for a brand new item thanks 🙄 Hmph!

So as we have had issues with our last choice of venue (I didn't realise that the *only* toilets were downstairs, I could have sworn they had a disabled loo!), we are changing location again. Got some Xmas food for the cats. All 5 of them turned up tonight and all 5 of them yomped the lot, each, very quickly. I did get the equivalent of 2 tins each, but a few were used to tempt Gray to eat so only 1 each now. I do have some Xmas meat sticks, so that will be tomorrow's treat for them.

Really annoyed! I ordered all the kids personalised cards, but I can't find the bloody things! Have looked everywhere in my room (the last place I saw them), but I have a sneaking feeling I put the envelope in the recycling, not realising what it was 😕

Ash has realised (after a month or so, mind) that the fluffy blanket is no longer on the bed so it is safe for him to venture back onto the bed for sleepy times 🙄

Shifting things around the room to make it easier for Grey to drag his poor back legs between his currently preferred sleeping spot, food/water bowls and the litter tray. Am also considering getting a ramp for the bed, so he can have a bit of variety (and so I can have my own snuggles).

Have just finished the rest of the #Discworld books pre-Tiffany Aching. I have been putting off reading the last book but it seems that it is nearing that time...well, just one more little delay, until 2026 📚😶

Off to an emergency appointment at the vet for Grey 2 days ago he could walk, although really slowly. Last night & today he is dragging his back legs behind him like they aren't even attached.

Call the emergency number listed on the vets website for some advice. Explain issue and that they are listed as emergency OOH service for anything OOH. Them: "but why are you calling US?" Seriously?!? Me: "never mind, will call an actual vet later" I never did like the local Medivet clinic 🤬🤬

Bag all packed for the weekend. It's amazing how small a bag I can take when not going to a con - way too many just-in-case bits + food & drink enough for a whole weekend. Although I do have a bottle of ginger vodka & a couple dozen KitKat bites for the party, I can more easily eat in Manchester.

Hideous roots (& no time to lighten them before a party at the weekend) weird middle lavender colour (doesn't go with the red top at all) & unwanted blue ends = a quick spruce up with a couple of red shades

Urgh! Last time my eye felt like this I had an eye infection. At least this time I have what I need to sort it sooner rather than later 🤕
