£29 million in 2016 plus £8.8 million for this year is still only £4.2 million per year over the last 9 years. The current estimate for providing tech to all 36,000

unding has been given to give what is needed but its ok to prescribe on cost efficiencies to get more people on tech. Safety is paramount. You cannot rely on inaccurate sensors or let children have systems that parents cant follow.

Time for the Scottish budget again. I mind waiting last year with such hope & trepidation. Would we get extra funding for Diabetes Tech? We didn’t. With the extra funding for the NHS, will there be more money for tech?

Horrifying story. Also a reminder that insulin is among the most dangerous of prescription drugs. While insulin murders are rare, unintentional overdose happens all the time. People with
#type1diabetes
must guess at the correct dose multiple times a day. It's very easy to make a mistake.

Interesting day. Had a meeting with my MSP about the

campaign. If we provide tech to all who qualify it will bankrupt NHSScotland. My interpretation is the system needs to be overhauled. Making everything cost effective not just the patients treatment
