Hospices provide dignity, comfort, and support at the end of life. Despite this, they are too often left to fend for themselves and find funding from charity. That's why I was proud my motion that seeks to do better was passed yesterday at conference.

I’ve fought for major SEND reforms since entering Parliament, and today’s Education Committee report echoes what parents tell me daily. It urges earlier identification, staff training, more local specialist places and stronger accountability. The Govt must act on this evidence.

As many of you know, neurodivergence is an issue I care deeply about. In the last 6 days I highlighted the SEND crisis in Parliament, spoke on supporting neurodivergent people into work, and backed Adam Dance’s bill for screening and teacher training.

Great to be back visiting schools now the summer holidays are over, continuing my mission to visit every school in the constituency. Today I was at St John’s First. I met staff and delivered an assembly on what an MP does. I answered great questions from my favourite animal to how to end poverty.

Hospitality is a tough business, but government decisions are making it untenable. Since the Budget, 80,000 + jobs have been lost. Hall & Woodhouse tell me it’s not just the rates, it's the whole regime. On NI, the Bear in Wimborne cost's for part-time workers on min wage have risen by 74.5%.

On Parliament’s first day back from recess, I pressed the Government again on Gaza. In May, I raised concerns about export exemptions that could be used to harm Palestinians, I received no response. With the assault on Gaza City escalating, we need action now.

👂As Parliament gets back into swing I am reflecting on the past couple of weeks spent in the constituency as part of my Village Tour visiting many of the more rural villages. 🗣️The issues you raised are my issues too and I will continue to be a strong voice for all my constituents in Parliament.

It is tough to choose a highlight from summer recess although the alternative triathlon from last week for Julia's House is pretty high on the list! What has been truly amazing about the last month is that I have spent time in the place I love and have met so many wonderful people.

Great to meet the Wessex Internet team in Wimborne — a Dorset company improving local connectivity. Poor rural internet isn’t good enough in 2025, and I’ll keep campaigning with providers and public bodies to get our communities connected.

Working alongside Anushka as a Carer today in Wimborne was eye-opening. It is clear to see the positive impact that care professionals like Anushka are having directly in the community; providing an exceptionally high quality service often in challenging circumstances.

Happy International Dog Day Since Todd became part of our family I have seen for myself the mental and physical health benefits of having a four legged friend I’m glad to have helped improve their lives through puppy smuggling bill & will be pushing for more animal welfare measures in parliament 🐾

Saturday was a Wimborne day. Had a chance to show my family my lovely office, spent a few hrs delivering my health survey, met with town cllrs about Safe Places project and then enjoyed Wimborne Duck Race raising funding for Wimborne in Bloom with my family, dog and good friend Will Chakawada

Eighty years ago today, Britain marked Victory over Japan, ending WWII. We honour all who served and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. The world remains dangerous, and I will keep working in Parliament to ensure our Armed Forces and veterans get the support and recognition they deserve.
