This excellent show is coming up in about a week and a half. Lots of interesting sounds and approaches to making them will be on display in a lovely room that will be cool and open to whoever wants come and hang out. Good people in a good environment seeing some excellent music. I.e., a good time.

Still feeling excited and grateful to see our album getting some time and attention. This review is really great, and I wanna note that I especially love playing "Broody" live (though I like playing all of our songs really, they are fun to play). One of our more unique arrangements I think.

Our Radon Abatement album is still new & I should probably share it more (though the way this place works most people who are connected to me have probably already listened to it, and hey thanks if you have!) I'm very proud of this album. It captures a whole lot of what I love about playing music.

Jalen Brunson is just that dude. What a crazy resume he now has. That he did this in this (pretty terrible overall) game is just wild. Basically beat the Spurs on his own.

Album has been out for about a month. Still extremely cool to see it show up here & there, & especially on list of albums/songs like this. Last tapes are arriving today then hopefully shipping 'em out soon after. Cool that we are gonna open for Sweeping Promises, who are also rightfully on this list

Kind of weird to note something so far out date-wise, but seems like Radon Abatement is gonna play another very cool show on Saturday, Nov. 14, in Richmond. Sweeping Promises is playing Cobra Cabana and we are gonna open. Likely another good band or two as well. Should be a cool night I imagine!

Radon Anatement tapes are mostly done but we have another batch to finish off. Likely shipping out in a couple of weeks or so. Been quite a bit of work as we did all the artwork ourselves, but also more fun than doing it some other way. Pretty damn pleased with them.

Gonna bump this one more time in case anyone is looking for some listening suggestions. See-saw does a lot of listening and digging through the release floating out under the broad-view version of punk, and it is very cool to see one of our songs on this playlist.

The leadoff track from our Radon Abatement (@radonabatement.bsky.social) album, Harmonium Jr., ended up on this killer list of songs that came out in May. Some real heavy hitters in there, extremely cool to see. Kind of crazy that a song I sing is in there, though guess it is more like yelling.

Good news, the drummer was still in fact as good as I remembered. What a joy to watch/listen to him and the rest of the band play when they are really cooking.

It's true, we are working on the finishing touches for the cassettes this week. We are printing the artwork/covers etc. ourselves because it is fun & our friends have set up a very cool print co-op in Charlottesville called Infinite Repeats where we can do it. I think they will look pretty great.

I am (hopefully) going to see the band Uranium Club live tonight for only the second time & I hope that my memory of the joy experienced watching their drummer play proves to be true. I was in a very weird place last time I saw them, I very much look forward to seeing them in my current state lol.

Have come close to making a Blue Oyster Cult joke or two, but have refrained. My path towards becoming a completely milquetoast poster continues.

It's pretty interesting to me just how varied the comparisons to other bands we get for Radon Abatement are. They're usually quite flattering. We're of course not as good as a lot of the bands people are suggest we remind them of a bit, but it's cool to see where people land.

Erin and I finally got our tape cases up. Look forward to sticking a Radon Abatement tape in there when we finish them off (which should be soon I hope). I understand when people say “tapes? really?” but yeah, tapes. Cute little buddies that may or may not contain some great music.

This is good news. Gotta take it where we can get it, and yeah I look forward to reading this.

Hey, my partner in life and Radon Abatement is gonna be on WFMU tonight playing with Added Dimensions! This is very cool! They are a great band and it is exciting that they got brought in to record a set at the coolest radio station around.

Rest assured that despite our excitement about all the Radon Abatement activity Grand Banks will trudge along as we do. I think some of our recent shows have been as good as any we have ever played. Really when we play in Radon Abatement we are playing variations on the song. It is what we do.

Gonna share this cool review again. I imagine it may resonate with a few people out there as some things touched on regarding making music are likely relatable to others. Reclaiming what time you can to find lanes of freedom and joy. Not always easy, but hopefully if you need it it is there for you.

Hey the @radonabatement.bsky.social made it into this week's see-saw rundown, which is very cool! Lots of good records to recommend, many of which are bubbling up on quite a few people's radar, so very nice to be included in that group. They are doing good work over there covering a ton of stuff.

Lol we have a Radon Abatement account on here which about once a month someone remembers to post from (probably not even that often). This was a good one though. Probably some more stuff to post about soon. People keep listening to the album it is very cool that they are.

There's a Fruit Market happening at Visible Records tomorrow, and just behind VR in one of the new spaces you will find The Odd Rock, Sena's new workshop/store. She'll be down there most of the day, so stop by and say hey, check it out.

Kind of wild to see our songs make their way onto various radio shows around the country. I'm not sure how people are finding them, but of course we live in the age of this kind of thing being both easy and hard depending on your inclination. Still, I love radio and it is cool to see it happen.

I want to thank everyone who has taken a listen or shared some thoughts on our new record. The show in Richmond couldn't have been more fun. Kind of a soft-launch for this as we just made it live before we had the tapes ready, but they are coming soon! Very cool to see these songs out in the world.

Every member of Radon Abatement has done college/community radio at times. Several for many years. While our relationship with a certain station has ebbed a bit, our love of radio itself is resolute.
