Takeaway: Trump and Netanyahu have cobbled together a carve up of Gaza as a money-making exercise for American investors and if Hamas doesn’t accept those terms Israel will be free to take Gaza down to the dust.

Two years, two presidents, two dozen attempts at a proposal to end the war, and almost always the US retreats back to the same ideas that were floated in November 2023: no Israeli control of Gaza, but no Palestinian control either.
