New billion-dollar transit lines shouldn't get stuck for *this long* waiting at red lights. That's why we're happy to see a motion coming to City Council this week to implement stronger transit signal priority and other measures to speed up LRTs - but it won't happen without your voice! 1/2

the scarborough busway is opening next year. funded+began construction in 2024. the city of toronto can still build transit. i know they're working with an existing rail ROW, but that's fast. maybe the city should lean into suburban busways more. buses are toronto's greatest strength anyways!

50 years ago today. A TTC bus operating stalled on the tracks east of Scarborough GO Station and was hit by an approaching train. Nine people lost their lives.

i grew up in jane & finch as a kid. i remember being there when they were initially planning this line and promised a fast, new train to replace the overcrowded finch bus. i was excited back then. all i can say is i feel insulted this whole project feels like an insult to communities along finch

Damian here. I was attempting to get a same day video up of the Finch West LRT today. But honestly, with the lack of shots I got from the slow service. I now have to reformat my original concept. So, it's gonna be a while.

Any update @ttcriders.bsky.social @moretransitso.bsky.social on this. The Mayor @mayoroliviachow.ca and Councillor @joshmatlow.bsky.social requested a report on this later in 2025. It is a priority that proper full active TSP is on given on Line 5 & 6 so the billions wasn’t wasted on slower trips.
