The last year produced some incredible games, but the one I think I'm going to continue to go back to for years is Sektori. If you love shmups or twinstick shooters like Ikaruga or Geometry Wars I can't recommend it enough. The Steam reviews are spot on store.steampowered.com/app/2105620/...

Admittedly you'll have to put up with the occasional groan-worthy dad joke puns from me, but on the positive side we're working on something cool and are looking for more awesome devs to help us! tldr: rad team, independent studio, new IP (we own it!), great benefits, equity/profit sharing for all

First playthrough of Terminator 2D: No Fate completed If this was released to arcades in 1992 it would have made all the money. Highly recommend it if you like this sort of game, just make sure to play on a higher difficulty. Was pretty easy to blaze through on the medium difficulty setting

Anyone else finding a certain sense of calm during the holiday? For me I think it's because studios are closed so games aren't getting patched. I launch Steam or boot a console I'm not having to sit there and watch half a dozen games update themselves I can just boot and play. What a concept!

I find myself going back to THE FINALS pretty regularly. It's a great blend of destruction, team play, and overall game feel. What a great competitive yet casual shooter. Really scratches an itch nothing else does these days
