"You could never annoy me, Ames. You know I'd love some company here from time to time." Knuckles replied, laughing softly and shaking his head.

"Yeah, I guess you're right." The isolation that came with being stuck on Angel Island for so long had long had an effect on him, hence why he always seemed to feel a bit anxious.

"Yeah, I know. It's just... with me having to be a guardian all the time, I very rarely get time off, you know?" His hand ran through the back of his dreadlocks, a sheepish look on his face. "I wish I could visit you more often."

The echidna nodded, keeping that smile on his face. "I know I haven't been around to see you or any of the others recently. I'm sorry. I should make more of an effort to visit."
