I got word from a Kickstarter I backed that it's almost done, however ... the creator was diplomatic in how they expressed this, but it was clear the tariffs destroyed their profit in this venture. I keep hearing this more and more from creators. The tariffs are crushing small creative businesses.

I started a new solo adventure in a contemporary action setting (kind of like the show Reacher). I realized I almost never play a game that doesn't include powers, magic, supernatural, or something fantastical, so it's kind of refreshing! #solottrpg

Cactus aren't always considered the most elegant plants, but desert flora has its own beauty and are full of surprises. Here's one I caught today in my backyard. Flowers like this sometimes appear suddenly, literally overnight, and by the end of the day are wilted and gone the next day.

I have a question for all. The reason for most fantasy tropes is obvious. Warriors have swords and armor, thieves use knives, etc. But, how did we come to accept that wizards are often associated with towers?? Is this from Saruman in LOTR? I mean, it feels natural to me, but I wonder why.

Solo roleplay idea: Give important narrative elements a recurring mechanical side. For instance, doing something earns xp, or restores hit points, or gives an action bonus, etc. This reinforces the importance of that narrative bit, and can gamify a story heavy adventure.

Things that I've learned about myself from doing a podcast: I unconsciously say the words "so" and "right?" a lot. A LOT. These seem to be my filler words of choice. A good part of my audio editing is stamping these words out as I come across them, but they keep popping up like whack-a-mole.
