Crisis (mostly) averted! I managed to recover the audio, but there are some issues that came up ostensibly during recording. Most obviously, the audio speeds up at times, but it was too good a conversation to force a re-do

Managed to get one hour of the newest episode done, then went to do other stuff. Came back to keep working and now I can't get the project to load, so I have to start all over. Gonna do my best to get this thing finished by this Friday, but it may not happen

Trying to read Christopher Buelman’s first novel, Those Across the River, but almost every other page in my copy has slightly blurred text which is giving me a headache. Anyone else with this book have the same issue? I’m enjoying what I’ve been able to read, so far, but I just can’t keep going.

Shamefully, I’ve not read this before. I’m three chapters in and adore its prose and ambience. I can definitely see Pynchon being influenced by her and can’t wait to keep going through this book

This one is gonna stick with me for a while. A tremendous critique of the horrors of both industrialized farming and late-stage capitalism. Highly recommended, but be warned it is extremely unsettling in its portrayal of violence
