Got my contributor's copy of a new anthology put together by
@criminolly.bsky.social
containing my short story "The Dromedary," a grim Texas noir tale of the absurd. It's also the first thing I've published that has no supernatural elements. Proceeds go to Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

This one was an experience. Confusing, weird, extremely disturbing at times. Still not sure what I thought of it.

After yesterday's heartbreaking and dangerous decision by the High Court, I have been thinking of ways we can help. And I've come up with two ideas. 1. "adverts" on the website. If you are a trans author, we will feature your book free of charge on every page of the website for a month....

There is something so incredibly insidious about this "free speech/level playing field" narrative that is being used to excuse the removal of hard won rights. For a second it sounds credible, but as soon as you scratch the surface it's clear how evil it is.

Can we talk about the UK cover of 'The Lamb' by
@lucyrosecreates.bsky.social
? I can't stop looking at it. It's beautifully done and endlessly intriguing. Does the woman actually have no face or is it just a trick of the angle? The book (which I am 2/3s through) is also excellent.

Pretty sickened by UK's Supreme Court 🤮 So I'm opening my submission inbox to unagented trans authors in the UK until the END OF APRIL. I'm not currently open to general subs BUT if you're a trans author writing folk horror, weird, experimental, mystery, literary/upmkt fiction, take a look below 👇
