A little kid tried to run out in front of my car earlier. I turned the corner and there was this large group of people, maybe two families, on both sides of the street. The littlest kid (around 5) suddenly decided he wanted to be on the other side of the street.

The president hasn't been seen in public in days, while his social media account is issuing insane unhinged threats. Seems like we should get some confirmation that he's, you know, still alive and it's not Stephen Miller tapping out the rants

I finally decided it was time to face the music, after a winter of consuming lots of calories and not exercising, and step on the scale. I was pleased and relieved to find I'd only put on 5 pounds and in fact was within my "normal" range. My goal is 8 pounds lower than I am now, but I might push on.

I am absolutely certain I didn't get anywhere near 193. Maybe 143! I've been getting to an average of 138 lately on my walks, which is a good cardio pulse for my age and weight.

The book I'm reading includes the "word" "consequendy". It's not a real word but it should be just based on how fun it is to say. (And no, the word "consequently" doesn't fit as a replacement.)

I swear by all I hold holy that I try to slow down after I hit a mile. I couldn't even slow down after I got two! I sped up by a lot! Wtf is going on in my brain? Oh well, it's good for me at least.

I am apparently unable to slow down after I hit a mile. Every damn time I somehow speed up. I'd love to get 16:47 on that mile. (The eventual goal is to be lower than 15.)

With fibro, pain from an injury can be delayed (often becoming much worse, but by no means always) and I'm experiencing that right now. I lost my balance the other night and in catching myself I bent my ring finger back. It hurt and throbbed but then the next day it was fine. Now it's not. 😂

This is why I need to wear my watch when I walk. My phone can handle Fit and Map My Walk, but apparently not Fitbit. Buh-bye metrics!

Part of the path was flooded. There were three Mallard couples swimming around the "lake" (yes, it was that deep) but I didn't stop to photograph them.

As I readied myself to go have a bilateral mastectomy on September 8, 2008, I took one last selfie with my real boobs. You can see pride, resolve, fear and courage in my attempt to smile.

I searched my photos for "fluffy" looking for a picture of a particular cat. Well, the bunny exhibiting serious zoomies _was_ fluffy. Terrible picture, obviously, but as a search result it made me laugh.
