Where did this "They've been at war with us for 47 years" suddenly come from? I've only counted 13 days so far.

Remember the good old days when the worst thing a US president could do was get sucked off in the oval office.

Trying to think where the chief engineer/designer in a
#F1
team has also been team principal. Mo Nunn at Ensign thought they weren't exactly vying for wins. I guess the closest would be Patrick Head becoming the de facto team principal after Frank Williams unfortunate accident.

My favourite
#Springsteen
album at the moment is Only The Strong Survive. I guess it's been a bit of a slow burner. Not as slow a burner as Devils & Dust which still does nothing for me.

GP's what would you choose? Open to any tracks, if they're not Grade 1 lets pretend they can quickly upgrade facilities in time. My choices would be Brno & Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (Mosport)

Happy St Patrick's Day. Nine o'clock is probably still a tad early to pour a Guinness. My boss would probably not look favourably on it either.

What a lot of people seem to be ignoring is that no war has ever been won solely on air power. At some point you're going to need boots on the ground.

I’m very open-minded, but if there’s one thing that’s strictly banned from my bed, it’s eating. The thought of crumbs in the sheets is enough to send me quietly spiralling toward a padded room.

They don't try and dramatize events and spin some sort of narrative like Sky does. They just relay the facts.

I only ever find out the Oscar's or Grammys are on after they've been on. The only Oscar's I remember watching was I think 1985 or 86 as I recall Huey Lewis & The News performing The Power of Love.

Seeing as Russia lost their GP due to attacking Ukraine. Can't we ditch the US races or at least have them somewhere interesting like Watkins Glen, Long Beach or Road America

I wonder when the last time we had fewer finishers than today. Good to see cars breaking down again. The machinery should be being pushed right to and past it's limited. Actually I also wonder when we had fewer starters than today. 🤔

Though there is plenty of overtaking this year it feels less contrived than DRS. Passes being made at more random places on the track not just the DRS zone.

Superb timing by the Chinese for tomorrows race. Don't have to get up too early. Will have time to do my laundry (my washing machine sounds like Concorde taking off), have a cup of tea or two and then settle in for the race. Then the whole afternoon is free to nap as I desire.

Well the new regs are certainly providing entertaining racing in the early parts of a race. Also both during the sprint race or qualifying it didn't look as ridiculous as Melbourne.

I don't like the Chinese circuit but the sprint qualifying felt a bit more like a qualifying session than at Melbourne. I think probably the teams have refined the battery charging & deployment

It may be good fortune we miss the Saudi

had 1.5L turbos that had so much power the chassis and driver could barely handle it. Now 40 years later we have 1.6L turbos that need an electric motor to do a decent speed for half a straight.

I did quite enjoy the Grand Prix. I do worry about the sudden speed differentials though. Sooner or later there's going to be a plane crash sized accident. Not sure what a solution would be. Maybe reducing the electric deployment rate so it will last the length of the straights.

Strong selection. I think mine would be: - Grand Prix Legends - Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 3 - Geoff Crammond's Grand Prix 4 - rFactor - Richard Burns Rally - F1 '97 - F1 Challenge '99 - '02 (and the squillion mods) - GTR - GTR2 Paging
