A very welcome repeat of this landmark 1992 series which also led to a BFI book of the same name. One of its researchers, Stephen Bourne, would be quick to point out it depended heavily on exploratory research of BBC files. You couldn't do that now....

Oh dear I don’t know whether incompetence .. Or deliberate, to push 30th September (first uk air date) as Thunderbirds “official” anniversary. Which of course it is - despite some regions not airing until November.. But omnipotent Fanderson have omitted Thunderbirds from their key events..

Gefeliciteerd! The first ever television broadcast of Thunderbirds was 60 years ago today.. In the Netherlands. Initially in a prime time 9pm slot 🤯 The series treated as a special film event and shown on a monthly basis.

If the BBC wants to push a neutral reporting line that Kirk was a free speech warrior, fine. But we should hear more *actual quotations* from the range of extreme views of Kirk - because they were extreme. The summaries given are not representative.

As we see in next two weeks Alan Fennell takes a break from Lady P - to fulfill Thunderbirds obligations (strip and screen)? When returns in 1966 These two frames Parker roughed up in a police cell & a guy contemplating suicide (last frame that week) Is this the stuff of a preteen girl’s comic?

I’ve possibly taken your Robin Hoods as inspiration and devised a scoring mechanism for Lady P stories in the Lady Penelope comic. Albeit the thinking came organically while continuing to “pretty up” the editions Wardrobe changes Penny’s gadgets Parker’s old tricks

A lot of Lady Penelope covers on TV21, at this point, in 1965. One might even think leading up to something.

This guy once edited a photograph of me to draw specific attention to particular scarring I have had on my body since I was a young teenager. He then wrote a blog post speculating on my mental health, and his followers in the comments described my body as looking like "carnage" & "horrible".
