Here is my dire prediction. RAM prices will stay. Nvidia and corps will push cloud compute like GeForce Now / Xbox Cloud. Game devs will have to continue targeting 2021 hw for 5+ years. Consumers will not get compute allocation outside of phones and TVs. No PS6. If you want a 16GB GPU, get it now.

I wanted to make a shader for a random flame that looked hand drawn. So I took a gradient with some color banding, and wiggled it around with noise.

Long term illness. I've been focused on only my good days, my aspirational days. Instead I need to plan on my routine for typical days, and plan to communicate and let go of my guilt on bad days.

Incredible work! We didn't start to see this high of quality outside of tech demos until Red Dead Redemption 2. This could definitely be a paid add-on.

Outside of environmental engineering, the vast majority of our real remaining problems would not be best solved with technological solutions, but with social solutions (and even then).

I was inspired by photos of Jupiter from late last year to make a new gas giant shader in #godot.

I've been hesitant to call my 2.5 yr illness "Long COVID." It's a syndrome not a diagnosis, highly politicized, & has a lot of baggage. But I can't control what people think. Even as I get a more specific diagnosis, they're going to believe whatever they want. "Long COVID" is good enough shorthand.

I just started treating my Long Covid with nicotine. Combined with cromolyn, I feel like my brain fog might be clear enough to keep up at work and reconnect with friends now. Hopefully one day I'm able to treat the root cause and get back to hiking and being more active.
