Nikhil Suresh has a new essay up. He is a long-time software engineering consultant, which has exposed him to lots of companies, the thinking of their management, and the fear among the workers about speaking up. He despairs, beautifully. h/t

He’d rather mourn the dead ICE agents in his imagination than show an ounce of sympathy for the people his agents have killed. Also, if an ICE agent ever needs to be buried, I’d give it even odds that it will be because they were mistakenly shot by another agent.

Starting to wonder if Musk came across this newsletter, "Mars For The Rest of Us", and that's why he suddenly switched to "Occupy The Moon! Yea, yeah, that's it!" Anyway, this is fascinating. Humans in space, long term, is a really really hard problem.

This, from Paul Campos, building on Tim Kreider's essay, is quite good. Many, if not most, of us kinda feel the way that's being described by Paul and Tim, so it's nice to see it spelled out so adroitly.
