Random thing which is annoying me today. Why in Windows can I not customise system keyboard shortcuts? I do not have a Windows key not media shortcut keys. I do however have a whole bunch of function keys which spend 99.9% of the time doing nothing. Just let me use them!

After far too long parked under a tree next to my driveway waiting for me to get a replacement engine installed, my Trabant is back on the road. Now I just need to scrub off 9 months of tree gunk...Won't that be fun.

Looks like the Trabant will be back in action soon. New engine is mostly built up now. Just need to time the ignition side, fit the clutch then it should be ready to go back in the car.

I am officially in the market for a replacement engine for my Trabant. Or if it's cheap enough, a good core to rebuild. This one has damage to basically everything aside from the external components. Anyone in the UK got one available they'd be willing to part with?

Well I think I can pretty comprehensively say that I have found the cause of the loss of compression on cylinder number 1. Just waiting for a new pair of head gaskets (I'll do both cylinders while I'm in here anyway) to turn up then we should be back up and running.
