Great news! There have been a good few positive corncrake stories in the past while, by my reckoning. One of my personal highlights of recent years was hearing calling corncrakes on Inishturk. It was magical! (And very loud). If we can do it for corncrakes, we can do it for other species too!

Just back from Cherry Tomato Bridge and the council have put steel fences all around it

Looking forward to this inevitably going national (high culchie foot traffic at this bridge) and us locals getting all huffy and gatekeepy about tomatoes on bridges.

Did youse see that someone left a load of sliced cherry tomatoes on the bridge in Drumcondra and it is now classed as a religious site on Google maps (38 user reviews)

Ever wondered why walking around museums is weirdly tiring? At normal speed our legs act like pendulums, swinging forward from the hip & saving us a huge amount of energy. In "museum shuffle" our muscles must do ALL the work of constant readjustment. So cake in the cafe is scientifically justified 🥳
