Sometimes people act as if I am emotionally fragile because I am chronically ill. They don't inform me of tragedies in their life (pet death etc). So I feel out of the loop a lot and hear bad news years later. I am sure they mean well and want to shield me from the unpleasant parts of reality.

Heute las ich von einer Person, die nicht die gleich Schwere an ME/CFS hat wie ich, dass Menschen wie ich ja wahrscheinlich eh keine Krebsvorsorge brauchen/ wollen weil die mit so starker Bettlägerigkeit dann auch egal ist. Was mitschwang ist dass es sich dann nicht lohnt das Leben zu verlängern.

Den Schutz von Frauen vorzuschieben ist eine gängige Masche in rechten Milieus, die Migration ablehnen. Zugleich sind viele dieser Akteure oft erstaunlich leise, wenn es um konkrete Maßnahmen zur Verhinderung & Ahndung von Gewalt gegen Frauen geht, wenn Täter keinen Migrationshintergrund haben.

Today I first tried the organising method Swedish Death Cleaning and it worked so much better than all the other stuff I had tried before. Will anybody be glad I kept this box when I am dead? Nope! And this spoon? They will get that I needed spoons. This picture? They might like to have a memory.

If you're quiet about your disabilities, you get accused of being a fake. If you're outspoken, you get accused of being attention seeking. Disabled people deserve to be believed and supported without hate. We deserve to be able to thrive.

The world is scary right now.

I do this too. I often feel like it was my fault that I got worse. Especially after I chose to do nice things like chatting on the phone, playing a computer game with a friend or leaving the house (getting carried out) to see the trees and the sky. Reasonable activities become high risk.

#SevereME I have severe ME/CFS and POTS. I have a sunbed in the bathroom because sometimes the distance of 15 meters from my bed to the bathroom is too much for my circulatory system (even with my walker) and I have to lie down when I get there.

Immer sind alle Entscheidungsträger ganz betroffen, wenn sie unsere Situation selber sehen. Aber sobald es an die praktische Umsetzung von Hilfe (sprich in dem Fall erstmal Basis-Versorgung) geht, gibt es angeblich doch gar keine Missstände.

Every time I listen to Chop Suey by SOAD, I have to think of all the ME/CFS sufferers who saw no other way than to end their life. The makeup unable to cover up the suffering. The angles deserve to die (be free of pain) and I cry. "Why have you forsaken me?" a cry for research and recognition.

I follow a philosophy of living in the moment as much as possible. Right now that's less than satisfying because my body aches and my brain is mush and I can't really do anything to pass the time. So I will wait and hope that this "moment" is over quickly. (Likely a few days or weeks)

Mein Mitbewohner kam grade in mein Zimmer und fragte mich kopfschüttelnd ob ich etwa Spitzwegerich züchte. Habe ihn darüber aufgeklärt, dass der Spitzwegerich schon drei Jahre in unseren Blumenkästen überlebt und es Unglück bringen würde ihn zu entfernen. Darf ich vorstellen? Gemischtes Allerlei.
