This is the best River Song set: full of unexpected twists, intrigue and finds new angles on River through comparisons to Anne Boleyn, another woman usually only seen through the lens of her relationship with her husband. It’s a brilliant piece of work and my favourite 2025 Big Finish so far.

For some reason had completely missed “Holly” by Stephen King and only realised when the sequel, Never Flinch, kept referencing stuff I hadn’t read. Anyway, went back and read it and it was FANTASTIC.

Strange New Worlds doing a massive pisstake of William Shatner is definitely a look. I suspect the producers took great delight in doing an episode that says, “Look how shit this would be if we actually did it like TOS.”
