I love when a reader doesn’t like my MC but kept going and found that they really loved it. The best compliment imo I love writing characters who are messy and problematic but understandable if you take the time to listen. While I am hopeful that we will get more genre romance shows, I am keeping expectations low. Hollywood so often makes it a drama and while there can be and usually is some drama in every genre, if the drama becomes the focus then it’s a drama, not a romance. They aren’t gonna grasp that, imho
