Painting demo for my Sophomore painting class yesterday. It is the last class before spring break so there were playful vibes and good energy to assist in the struggle of learning to paint.

Last summer, I got to spend a week on Great Spruce Head Island in Maine at the summer home of #fairfieldporter. With more than a dozen artists including @saramacculloch.bsky.social and @paintlanguage.bsky.social , we had the run of the island for a week of arting. An amazing experience. #painting

My Sophmore painting class is back In full swing and we are starting with a master copy in three stages, value, temperature, then hue/chroma. It’s a great way to have a lot of technical conversations quickly. I learned this from my amazing friend @kimberlytrowbridge.bsky.social
