I have been trying to ignore it so I can keep painting, but I feel v much like I did in early 2020- when this terrible unimaginable future was hurtling towards us and we were powerless to stop it.

4th of July, castine Maine.

A drawing/painting of Cooper, fourth attempt. 36"x36". Drawing used to be such a huge part of my process, i would paint on gessoed paper, the charcoal an important part of the image.. . This time it's pink pastel. Inspired to experiment by a podcast I listened to yesterday. Will post link below.

When I see a lightpost on its own in the snow, I still think of this book. 8/20
