#QueerPrompts Goofy Side Characters? The closest I've got to goofy is Adam, who was jokingly flirting with his sister's new boyfriend in a previous book. Now he's the lead of his own story in a FFM polyam trio with two women who were also side characters in the previous book.

#QueerPrompts Queer Fighter Characters In my #WIP, one of the side characters is a transman. He wasn't in the military, but his existence is a fight. He'll be the lead of his own story later in the series. Otherwise, my queer characters generally are explorers, doctors, musicians, mechanics, more.

#QueerPrompts In a previous draft of my #WIP, a male bisexual tells a female bi that being bisexual isn't performative. She doesn't have to DO anything to be bi, and her bisexuality isn't for others' entertainment. I guess that's more compassion/comfort than advice, but it does help. Keeping it.

Four years ago May I did the first draft to this saphic portal fantasy set on Venus. I was just watching a terribly interesting YouTube science video about Venus. It makes me want to polish and pub. I have too many awesome, not yet shared stories.

#PretendPanel Creation of characters In a lot of ways, a character comes to me almost completely formed. Or the parts of the character form so quickly based on instinct that it doesn't seem planned. But lately I take more time to meditate on motivation and things that would cause a character arc.

#QueerPrompts In my #WIP, Stephanie is not content. She starts with the intention to make amends and be a better person than she was. DeAnna and Adam think they're happy, but very quickly she finds out about her boyfriend's ugly past with Adam (he was abusive to Adam). They break up.

#QueerWritersChat A4 In my #WIP, they MCs are all musicians. They get inspiration from each other, the sense of collaboration (and a little lust). Generally, they get it as the situation needs because me as the author thinks inspiration is all around. (I feel like my answer to this was boring.)

#PretendPanel 1/9 My prose/craft I have a better sense of story structure and prose than I did even a few years ago. I feel more confident in handling things, and that I waste less time. I've worked hard to both write with abandon but also be smart about it to make editing easier later.

#QueerPrompts No, none of us have coming-out-aversary. A few of them were never in the closet (Adam, Jason). Not all my books have specific dates on them, so I couldn't pin it down if I wanted.

I read this over Christmas (because JD is awesome and sent me an ARC!) and I cannot recommend this story enough!!! It's so much fun and a quick read! (I'm about to go reread it again!)

#WeeknightWriters A2 Victories I have several! I published the most individual pieces so far. I had the best opening sales week of any of my titles (and later the royalties to go with it!) I also finally got my author website looking presentable. Lastly, I learned how to do new Canva marketing.

#WeeknightWriters A1 Last year's struggles I wrote intensely for six months. The struggle was in balancing different aspects of life. Plus, the political climate of my country is suffocating. So there's that.

#QueerPrompts Stephanie and DeAnna met each other at open mic jams. It was dislike at first sight on Stephanie's part. They went to high school together for a short time, but only DeAnna remembers. Adam met both Stephanie and DeAnna through his twin sister, but for different reasons. #WIP

#QueerPrompts Stephanie and Adam both suffered teenage trauma in the love department. They interpreted their trauma differently, but together, they'll heal. DeAnna is a tougher nut to crack. She doesn't want to be her mother, so it could be the constant parenting of the adult.
