Late post. But had a surreal morning layover time in DC union station. went to a lovely nearby French cafe and ordered quiche. Politely complained it was too cold. (Still ate it). so the entire 30$ order was free and the chef apologised with a macaron and mimosa

This keeps happening to me. Approached a historical house worried the tour will be sold out. Knocked on the door, and a surprised guy didn’t expected someone since nobody signed up and about to close. so got a private tour of a 1880s house by accident.
