i understand that these corporations are beloved by many, but as soon as you start defending their use of AI, even if it's "a little bit", i need you to understand that you are being used as a corporate tool to normalize AI. reject it with all your might. corporations arent your friend.

"we USE ai, but our game wont CONTAIN it" is a clarification that no one has ever cared about & now CEOs are using it as a wedge to get their foot in the door as a part of a long term plan into normalizing AI, just like how 'it's just placeholder' was used with E33. dont cede even an inch of ground

epic will pay for every game that gets claimed this way so yes, you are still giving money to rowling (and by extension an international campaign against trans people) by claiming this there are other, better franchises - let this one go

If you're not real into actual scares but still looking for a spooky Halloween game to play, might I recommend Carimara? It's completable in less than an hour and it's a lovely folk horror and captures some great Autumnal vibes without a single jump scare. A brief interactive fable. I loved it.

So I just finished the demo of Hell Maiden, a Vampire Survivors clone retelling The Divine Comedy with every character recast as a queer-coded magical girl, distinguishing itself through an interesting card-based upgrade system and sumptuous hand drawn animations for ultimate attacks. O_O
