The children rolled the dice and used their sounds knowledge to blend and read the word they landed on. We worked in partners, supporting each other to spot sounds and push them together to read the whole word. It was lovely to see children encouraging one another and celebrating success together π

Today in p1 we were making our own wee rid motors to go with one of our Scotβs poems using red hand prints. Some children were building a castle wall and measuring it. Some children wanted to learn how to make playdoh βif itβs wet put more flour on itβ. Lots of problem solving demonstrated.

From story to hands-on learning πΏβ¨ We gathered twigs outside, twisted pipe cleaners for arms and added googly eyes as we created Stickmen and practised the βckβ sound - developing fine motor control, problem-solving and imagination.
