Had my first driving lesson in NL and that went as poorly as it could. On the other side of the spectrum of human experiences - made anchovy butter for breakfast (sourdough, butter, tomatoes) and that went as beautifully as it could.

3 years ago I woke up at 4:30 am in my apartment in the residential area of Kyiv. I thought that some idiot was setting off fireworks in the middle of the night. It was not fireworks. The war had started.

As usual, a tough day to be Ukrainian, but we persist.

Lunch: leftover plain rice, leftover spicy chicken quesadilla, canned kidney beans (say YES to beans) slowly stewed with shallot, some garlic, chili flakes and Parmesan for extra creaminess.

Every day I learn so many new things and get to experience so many moments of joy, even if extremely fleeting. I had a perfect sugary crumb of puff pastry! My dog wagged his tail in his sleep! The girl I love smiled at me! Life is full of wonder!!!

I love sewing so much, it makes me so happy, then why is it so hard to actually sit down and do it? I have like 4 great project ideas, and materials for all of them, it’s just a psychological “meh”
