With the @rokaslab.bsky.social, three novel whole genome duplication (WGD) events were discovered in the Saccharomycotina yeast species in the Dipodascales clade. Before now, only four WGD events were known in fungi. This work suggests WGD may be underreported. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
