I’ve been serious batch cooking…..when I go to all the effort to make curries from scratch, esp the Dishoom Ruby Chicken I always make LOADS and fill the freezer. Now I can’t decide which one I’m having for dinner….

PSA if you are looking for a good self tanning product this stuff is fab I have glaringly white legs usually and this has given me a nice light glow!!!

I’m home alone tonight so I’ve bought Joey and myself some Angus filet steak for dinner and I’m enjoying the view of my afternoon gardening efforts with a glass of red wine.

One of the best bits about being retired…. Being able to travel outside school holidays… one person per row on our flight to Ponta Delgada….

I asked what hubby wanted for dinner and his reply straight away was ‘burgers. We’ve not had a burger for years’ Burgers for dinner it is….

Nights like yesterday are one of the reasons I miss London. Drinks in a fab little pop up bar and dinner in SoHo at one of my old favourites with my hairdresser.

My first attempt at growing sprouting thingies. Just over £5 for a tiny packet of already sprouted ones so I bought a kit and gave it a go!!

What’s your favourite time of the year? I love spring, it’s not too hot and the garden starts to come alive! We had our first dinner in the garden last night and I woke up to this view today. Spring makes me really happy. Have a great Tuesday people!

Happy Chocolate Egg Day people. Apparently I’m ’too old’ for an egg so thankfully I stocked up on my last UK trip….

Dinner was a success. The kids ate lots which made me happy as I was worried they wouldn’t. Charcuterie, sweetcorn, baked potatoes, salad, beef, chicken, asparagus and 2 desserts. All eaten. Only one slice of tart tatin left for hubby’s breakfast tomorrow…

We’re having 9 for an afternoon bbq later. I got up at 6 to make a Tarte Tatin, meringue and do all the prep…. Joey has been in and out all morning….. adding to my list of things to do… bloody footprints everywhere 🤷🏼‍♀️😄

Last day in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 Nice walk up the peak, 2 hour foot massage and a spicy beef clay pot with rice and egg yolk before a midnight flight home….

We’ve had so much fun these last 2 weeks we’ve decided that our annual Miami & New York trips will be replaced by a 3 week trip to Hong Kong and a week on a beach. It’s a modern city with great shopping (0 sales tax) fab hotels,fabulous clean safe public transport..

There are posters telling you what to do if you see wild pigs in Hong Kong….. pretty much STAY AWAY…if you are my husband though you completely ignore the advice and get closer to get a better photo…. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤯😳

One of the changes we’ve noticed in Hong Kong is the huge increase in the number of Japanese Izakaya/ramen/sushi restaurants in Tsim Sha Tsui. We’ve been eating some yummy food…

I can’t even say how much fun I’ve had having new things made….. and now getting to wear them all !!

20 years apart. My mother in law just sent me this reminder photo. 20 busy years so it feels much longer. We lived in 5 countries, travelled in many, built a home in Switzerland and are now both fully retired….

My local friends were laughing because we came here. It’s very traditional and full of ‘aunties’ but you can’t really beat Maxim’s Yum cha.

When we lived in Hong Kong I got all my clothes made in Shenzhen. It’s something I really miss, esp as I’m only 160cm I got a bit carried away fabric shopping and commissioned so much I’m gonna need a new suitcase….. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️💅🏻😳

We’re celebrating our 20 years wedding anniversary on this trip to Hong Kong so we thought we should have lunch in Aqua - the first restaurant we went to when we moved here, also 20 years ago…

Im staying at my London Neighbours flat and not only did she take me to the ROH to see one of my favorite ballets last night, but she brought me coffee in bed!!

My MIL just sent me a photo of her breakfast… I’ve not eaten any fruit apart from berries for the last 14 years since most fruits give me anaphylaxis. So thats nice of her to share that 😳🤷🏼‍♀️
