Last week the MCT held the annual Marsh Award for Excellence in Public Sculpture in partnership with @pssatweets.bsky.social With so many wonderful nominations the few that were shortlisted were then also up for Public voting. The Winner of the Public Vote was Awarded to ‘Ribbons’ by Pippa Hale.

Yesterday the MCT attended the presentation of the Fight Against Modern Slavery Awards, which we have run in partnership with the Human Trafficking Foundation since 2011. The presentation was once again held at Speaker’s House, during an event to mark Anti-Slavery Day.

Today the MCT will be attending the Judging meeting with the Museum of London to decide who will be the winners of this year’s Marsh Volunteer Awards held in partnership with the Museum of London. Whilst today’s meeting commences, let’s look at last year’s winners across the three categories.

The MCT supports a variety of organisations through our Grants Programme and this week, we thought we’d look back at some of the work one of our Grantees Sussex MS Centre has done in the last year.

Last week, the MCT had the pleasure of joining the Arts Society to recognise and celebrate the winners of this year's Marsh Volunteer Awards. These Awards recognise volunteers from The Arts Society’s societies, who work to help conserve the decorative and fine arts in their area.

Its official! The call for nominations is now open, for the Marsh Award for Volunteering in Support of Older People. ✨📣 This Award is run in partnership with Re-engage and recognises the contribution made by volunteers who support and care for older people.

🌟 This year marks 15 years of supporting Clothing Solutions (For Disabled People) who are a registered charity based in West Yorkshire. They offer a unique service that alters and creates bespoke clothing for disabled people to establish a better quality of life. 🌟

AWARDS RECAP - In 2024, we presented the Marsh Volunteer Awards with Dogs for Good for the second time. The Awards celebrates volunteers across the services of the organisation, from those who raise the assistance dogs, to those who speak publicly and raise funds for the charity.

Our ‘Regional Volunteer of the Year’ Awards are back! We run these Awards in partnership with @foodcycle.bsky.social. FoodCycle tackles food poverty, loneliness and food waste by providing meals for vulnerable people on a weekly basis using surplus food donations.

The Conservation Awards are returning to Icon for a third year at the Winter Reception at the Crafts Council Gallery in London. These Awards promote the wider recognition of conservation and the value it brings to our communities.

This year's Marsh Award for Education in Botanic Gardens winner was Vesta Vančugovienė 🌱 Using her deep knowledge of biology and botany, Vesta initiated the development of new educational programmes at the Vytautas Magnus University Botanical Garden in Lithuania.

This year's Marsh Award for International Plant Conservation winner was Rodrigo De Sousa 🌿 Rodrigo has dedicated over two decades to advancing plant conservation and ecosystem restoration across Venezuela and Costa Rica.
