Six Native Americans for the Battle of Little Bighorn that my local club is putting together as a participation game for shows this year. I had to rush these a bit towards the end but I feel like are ready now to shoot down some US 7th Cav. These were fun to paint as I have never painted NA before.

Six US Seventh Cavalry for the Plains War, painted for my local club for a show game they are putting on this year. They will be based three to a 50mm round base. Painted with mostly Vallejo, and GW paints for the skin, and AP for the metal parts. It was fun to get back into historical painting.

Instead of working on minis I need for this month I painted this #oldhammer #WFB Empire musician in Nordland colours. I did enjoy painting him though, and tried out a new blue and yellow colour scheme which worked out well. He is a thank you gift for a friend who gave me a horse miniature I needed.

First game of the year, Saga Age of Vikings against my regular opponent Chris. I had Vikings and Chris Anglo-Danes. We played Feasting and Piliaging the objective being to capture three objectives markers (along the centre line), and then leave the table with them, as well as keep our armies alive.

Three Empire Middenheim Ogres to use in Saga Age of Magic. This is the eighth unit in a challange with a friend to paint an army over the year. Painted with GW colours, Vallejo GC Ghostly Grey and MC White, and Army Painter Gunmetal and Plate Mail Metal on the metal parts. Next up Warlord on horse.

These were the last miniatures of 2025. Really enjoyed creating this little vignette, especially the chap holding up the severed head with a smitk on his face. As usual lately the shields are hand painted, the figures are Footsore, Victrix and A&A and the backdrop is by @handiworkgames.bsky.social

This weekend I forced myself to do some painting for the first time in months. I've had Josef Bugman sat on my desk for a while, so he seemed the perfect choice. I'm pleased with the progress made and I hope I can stay motivated to finish him soon. #WarhammerCommunity #Warhammer

Did anyone play 'Theme Hospital'? I bought this in very late 1998, or in 1999 with one of my first pays and loved it. Spent hours playing it, and after seeing some videos on Facebook I'd love to play it again.

Looks like I'm going to sack off watching the end of Stranger Things to watch Top of the Pops from 1999 to see why everyone is complaining.

Hobby goals for 2026 are to paint two units a month, finish units which I start, and to share my gaming online. I'd also like to try and paint a character figure each month and make and paint some terrain, but only if I have time. I also want to paint more historical figures in 2026.

2025 has generally been a good year for me, except for losing my Aunty early in the year. I paid off my debt from the start of 2023 and on top of that my income has been greater than my outgoings. I've also done more painting than in the last few years before. Hoping to paint more in 2026.

My December painting was a bit of a wash out. Nothing finished due to a lot of evenings working late to help my work meet a handover deadline, or just ill or too knackered. Hopefully I will get some painting in tonight, or more likely just watch Stranger Things.

This is really exciting news. Not only will I go see it, but I'll take my son (who will be six) to see it. He'll get to see the film I saw as a child but in the cinema (I saw it first on television).
