Doing some tests for muddy autumn/winter bases. Incredibly those leaves are pretty secure thanks to some gravel and sand fixer (which smells awful unfortunately 😅)

Haven’t done much hobbying lately since I’ve been repainting my house. Maybe inspired by that I started working on some bases of dark age houses. Thanks @mondo4.bsky.social for tips on bending the fences (I might have overdone it a bit but it looks quite organic 😅) #wargaming

This is why 99% of my miniatures are made of metal. I loathe clipping, scraping and gluing plastic miniatures. I know you have to do that with metal miniatures too but somehow it’s worse with plastics 😅 #paintingminiatures

Visiting friends in Falun so had to make a mandatory visit to the Falu copper mine. They had this neat setup of a peasant soldier's equipment from the middle to late 15th century. Not entirely sure about the sword and strange not to include a crossbow, but anyway, neat. #history

This has been an absolutely awful week in every sense. But I did finish this unit of Welsh archers so that's something.

Made a quick guide on how I paint these stones while I was painting them. Maybe everyone base stone with brown but it was something I saw in a White Dwarf article many years ago and I think it makes a big difference than just using grey’s. #paintingminiatures

Just remembered I used to make my own washes using floor polish. Floor polish, water and inks from Games Workshop if I’m not mistaken, worked pretty well. Anyone still doing this?
