In Factory Town 2, trains will drop off items based on a schedule you can program, and will automatically find the best route along your railroad. Had to adjust the pathfinding logic to consider direction of travel so they don't U-turn on the rails!

It finds the closest dock to leave from, uses skip points to traverse a large set of ocean tiles, avoids an obstacle in the water, finds the right dock to land on, and then uses a road to reach target

Some new nav pathfinding visualization! This is a delivery boat trying to find a distant harbor, blocked by a peninsula and a big island. Uses a two-layer nav mesh to cross large distances while avoiding small obstacles. Then tests for 'shortcuts' so it can sail directly between waypoints

Been working on boat logic for Factory Town 2! They follow a schedule of destinations & items to load & unload at each location. Boat pathfinding overrides the grid-based system and can use direct lines, while avoiding land so it doesn't run aground.
