#SewandTell favorites - this plaid skirt from The Assembly Line Patterns. I sewed it up in thrift store fabric and it matches so many things already in my wardrobe. I just love it.

#SewandTell week 2 my favorite summer sew is this pattern from 100 Acts of Sewing. It’s stitched up in a breezy viscose, perfect for hot and humid days.

Here’s my #sewandtell, my first vintage 50s pattern for my daughter. She fell in love with this decade and would hunt down the patterns on eBay. I made seven different dresses before all was said and done. I really enjoyed learning the different techniques.

Using what you have is an act of rebellion. This Camimade Coquillage quilted jacket is sewn from hundreds of tiny squares cut from fabric from my Aunt and Mom. The lining, binding, and batting were also in my stash. I purchased only the pattern.

Making my own clothes is an act of rebellion. Today’s me-made outfit: Almost Long Trousers from The Assembly Line pattern company and the Boho Sleeve Thea Blouse from Liberty of London. Both sewn up in fabrics from my local fabric store.
