I've been working on trying to redesign the treetops for MADHOUSE all day. I hate it. Making treetops is the single most difficult thing I've ever tried to do with pixel art. I've been at these for hours and this is the best I've got, and they still don't look completely right. Nightmarish!

Just finished playing through Paul's big update to MADHOUSE, which neatly concludes the first half of Story Mode. Had a lot of fun seeing it to its gruesome end, including all the over-the-top new characters, areas, and plot twists. If you were curious about it, now's a great time to try it! 🎃

MADHOUSE features a cryptid hunting mini game where you snap photos of rarely encountered cryptids with a polaroid camera... Anybody recognize this one?

Someone told me that they couldn't find MADHOUSE when they search for it on Steam... For those who don't own the game, is it indexing in your Steam searching for "madhouse"? It's the game in pic related.

It's easy to say that indies are bad at marketing their games, but what they don't tell you is how much time, effort, and work goes into marketing, and how rarely that effort actually converts to anything beneficial. You can't expect creative people to acquiesce to bad ROI.
