4 yrs ago I impulsively created Homeskin. The first release was a EP I made in 13 hours. It became a project solely driven by a self-imposed ceiling of short gestation of writing/recording simultaneously. I would then make 17 releases in 15 months. Ended and returned this year.

Trying to find more avant-garde music or tribal ambient from the Philippines. Never knew this composer but a fellow Filipino friend rec’d it. Was on the Tzadik label. It’s very fitting for Halloween sonically. Purely gongs, percussive sounds, voices, and chants inside a temple.

This album is fuckin sick. Fuerza Regida ‘111XPANTIA’. It’s so sonically rich. Amazing tones and songwriting. I was not aware of this subgenre: Corrido Tumbado. The huge low end/slap bass against fast acoustic strumming is pure ear candy to me.
