Sunday sleep-ins can feel like recovery and still sabotage Monday. The problem is not extra sleep. It is shifting the whole clock later. If the weekend was rough, the safer move is usually a not-too-late wake time plus an earlier night, not turning Sunday into jet lag practice.

Boston’s mean solar time is only 16 minutes ahead of Eastern Standard Time. Minimal misalignment from the sun is best for health!

This is so simple it boggles my mind. All DST does is force everyone to get up and active ONE HOUR EARLIER than in Standard Time. Very simple. Take 2 clocks. Set one in ST and the other in DST. At 6AM look at the ST clock. Then look at the DST which will read 7AM. If you have to be at work at 8

It's even worse for some neurodivergent folks. 7 AM standard time is still an hour too early, so DST is months of absolute torture. 🫩

Daylight Saving Time is a subsidy to the already-wealthy golf industry. Its cost is deprived sleep, every morning, for ordinary citizens.

Many people call me a “tireless advocate for Standard Time”. “Relentless” might be a better word. I assure you I am very tired of Daylight Saving Time.

Russia tried this in 2011 - it only lasted until 2014 when they adopted permanent Standard Time citing increased car accidents and poor adolescent mental health. The US tried this in 1974 and cut it short after they discovered the impact of delayed winter sunrises. Bets on how long will it last?

We already tried permanent DST back in 1974 & it was reversed within a few months as @jtheletter.com stated in this video. The govt is pushing a false narrative & the news person is lying about feeling negatively when we regain our hour. Getting that hour back is a huge sigh of relief without fail!

DST causes so much more harm than good. If you need time to golf, go into work an hour early and take off an hour early. a 24% increase in heart attacks, plus an increases in auto and other accidents for several days after the change is too high a price!
