I love to draw so much - and my absolute favorite reason to draw is to not have any reason to draw. Total freedom - not for showing people, not for selling, sometimes to understand an idea better, sometimes just to see what it would look like. There’s so much play in drawing.

Is it finished, or just "finished for now"? 🔍 I’m using my reducing lens to get some perspective. While it looks like a magnifying glass, it’s actually the opposite: double convex curves make the world look smaller, not larger.

a book I started in 1999 and just finished. It was hidden on my shelf until recently I got some smoke bombs and tied firecrackers to little ink filled bags before inserting them between the pages. 🧨- DM for sales inquiries.

I had the pleasure of spending some time with the sexy trunks of a Caucasian Elm and a Japanese Zelkova (both members of the elm family: Ulmaceae) at the always amazing brooklyn botanic garden last weekend 🌳

Exploring how the kids I hung out with shaped who I ended up becoming. I drew this map of my old neighborhood as a kind of case study of my own childhood, with each house and name representing someone who crossed my path growing up.
