So exciting! Our research assistants are collecting data from the Ogiek tribe in the Mau Forest in Kenya for our AI system for environmental justice. The prototype is built, and this data collection will allow us to refine the mission further. #hmc

Happy new semester! I won't return to the classroom until next October, so I will be giving myself a crash course on open-sourced LLMs and writing for the next few months. (It is not a sabbatical...just a weird turn of events since I taught two large lectures this fall...the load was fullfilled).
