Thank you to The Baroness Burt of Solihull for addressing the link between domestic abuse, debt and temporary accommodation in the House of Lords. We support the call for coerced debt to be excused to help victims of domestic abuse out of the debt trap and into a permanent home.

We welcome Rachel Reeves MP's announcement of the lift of the two-child benefit cap. This is a much-needed change that will help support vulnerable families and children, and reduce the risk of homelessness for households across the country.

Devastating new data from @ourmoh.bsky.social shows 11 children experiencing homelessness died in the UK in 2024. Six of them were under the age of 5, and the total figure is likely to be an underestimate.
