Our MBB game at Akron, originally scheduled for Saturday 2/14, has been TV flexed. CBS SN is picking it up, but moved up a day, to 2/13 at 9 Eastern. We may as well wear the black uniforms for Friday the 13th.

UMWBB has rescheduled this weekend's home game, due to the coming storm. The Bowling Green game will now be on Saturday at 11 AM, moved way up from the previous Sunday at 4 PM, but that now also avoids the Patriots conflict. umassathletics.com/news/2026/1/...

UMass has Buffalo tomorrow, but Miami is off until they host us on Tuesday. This can be a perfect opportunity for our coaching staff to motivate the troops: how great would it be to play the spoiler in front of the ESPNU cameras? Will be interesting to see how the team responds to the challenge.

Next up for UMMBB: a road game in Amherst. UM will visit Buffalo with their arena in Amherst NY. Friday at 7 PM on CBS Sports Network. Buffalo was 13-2 / 3-0, but lost their 4th straight tonight. Both teams will be looking for the W to stay out of the danger zone in the MAC standings.

It's UMass doing UMass things when we hang a camera that offers a cool shot straight down to center court/ice, but it's on a crooked angle and has been that way all season.

Why do we play 6 PM games when it's not on TV? (Not counting streaming.) Serious question. Doesn't make sense. Is the MAC setting that start time? I don't know why we'd choose to make it harder for fans. We didn't used to do this in the A10 era.

Not our problem anymore, but it's still interesting to see that two US Senators are asking the Big East commish to bring in Dayton and SLU. This has been speculated for over a decade now. SLU could offer another media market, and Dayton has the fanbase that always packs UD Arena.
