I think AVATAR hasn’t gripped fans as a mythology like Star Wars because Avatar is basically a theme park ride. People go to be visually stunned and experience the 3D ride, it feels the story and characters are background to that. And that’s fine, its entertainment! Just a thought.

I didn’t expect to, but I really enjoyed Spinal Tap II. It was sad seeing Rob Reiner and that feeling prevailed throughout the watch, but I had a smile on my face and laughed a bunch. Harry Shearer got me the most, his subtly is still so damn good.

Wake Up Dead Man was entertaining but I didn’t love it. Beautifully captured and better than Glass Onion, mainly because Josh O’Connor was so great. I could easily see him in the award mix in the future. Ultimately this chorus of characters and the unraveling of this mystery didn’t land for me.

I have nothing but feel-good memories of that entire time. The Force Awakens is a great Star Wars movie and it was just a very special time to be a fan. EVERYONE was in on Star Wars, felt so awesome.
