I just remembered the time that Buck read a promo mid-game that said “Check out the Tao of Stieb on Sportsnet dot CA”. That was a fun moment.

An good lesson I learned from Buck in recent years is that you don't need to agree with 100% of someone's opinions on baseball to still like and enjoy them. I didn't always agree, but I would be happy to hear Buck share his thoughts, and I believe he always spoke with good faith and respect.

Buck Martinez is one of a kind. A guy who loves truly baseball. A guy who took his work seriously, but has one of the best laughs of all time. A storyteller with a unique voice, both literally and figuratively. I hope we get to celebrate Buck properly this year, even if he's not in the booth.
