A little surprising, but happy news. Bieber seemed to genuinely love his time with the Jays.

I’ve been sick since Friday, so processing everything through a lens of barking coughs and snot rags and cough syrup fogginess. What is surprising me is how I’m not yet close to being at peace with it. With the passing hours, the sting gets a little worse. This one is gonna leave a mark.

Seeing Carlos here is a tiny salve for my broken baseball heart.

Kirby Yates took the Blue Jays money and then limped away for a whole season. He deserves no joy.

I believe Whitney Houston sang it better.

I’ve carried some baseball heartache around for decades, so I’m reasonably sure that I’ll go to my grave believing the 2025 Blue Jays deserved to win. All I hope is that sometime between now and then, there’s another moment that helps assuage that pain.

A tremendous World Series decided by the slimmest of margins. Not at all sure the better team won, but that’s baseball. The Blue Jays were fierce, and I’m a bit heartbroken for all the Jays fans in my feed and orbit — Toronto folks have been supportive and awesome to me going back over a decade.

This season was a hell of a ride. A beautiful bunch of guys. Thanks again for letting me be a part of your baseball season. Hugs to you all.

I’m dressed in full Jays regalia, and getting lots of “Go Jays!” responses at the door. At least there’s that.

When I roam around the field before what could be the last game of the World Series, I always ask: What great thing am I going to see tonight? Whatever it is, it might involve the guy wearing all this stuff #Vladdy
