37 years ago today, Dave Stieb had a no-hitter with two outs in the ninth inning when Cleveland shortstop Julio Franco hit a seemingly routine ground ball to second base that took a crazy hop over Manny Lee's head for a single. Stieb settled for a one-hit shutout in the Jays' 1-0 win.

42 years ago today, Willie Upshaw doubled in the first inning to drive in Lloyd Moseby for his 100th RBI of the 1983 season. With this, Upshaw became the first Blue Jay to have a 100-RBI season. The Blue Jays beat the Mariners 7-3. Upshaw finished the season with 104 RBIs.

If you're a Blue Jays fan in need of reassurance this morning. On Aug. 28, 1992, the Blue Jays lost 22-2 to the Brewers. The Brewers had 31 hits. Less than two months later, the Blue Jays won their first World Series. It's proof that even a good team can have a truly awful game.
